From Retirement to Creation
Dalton Door Hangers and More was created when I retired from teaching after 30 years and needed a supplement to my retirement. After praying and giving it all to God, he showed me that my only talent wasn't just teaching littles. I also had a talent for painting. He lead me to another painter, Tamara Bennett of Southern Adoornments, thank you! And from there Dalton Door Hangers and More was born! I started painting in November of 2024 passionately and haven't looked back. While painting and setting up at various craft shows I began to get the nudge to create my own business, thus Dalton Door Hangers and More was born!

Handmade with Love
My door hangers are hand cut and hand painted one by one only by me. Thank God for my daddy that worked in the woodworking business for over 30 years making bedroom and dining room furniture. I learned a lot about tools and machinery from him. So I can run saws and sanders which is how each door hanger begins in my carport. After each door hanger is cut out and sanded, they come inside my house to my craft room to be painted! After they are painted they make a final trip back to the carport for final coat of sealant and then they wait for their owner to find them. Gently sitting and patiently waiting for the right person to say I pick you!

A Blessing for Your Home
When customers see and ultimately purchase one of my door hangers or other products, I want them to know that I have taken my time on that individual piece while making it, from the cutting to the painting and to the sealing. Your door hanger has been prayed over that God will bless whoever buys it and will bless the home on which it hangs its hat!
"The biggest purpose driving Dalton Door Hangers and More is to let others see God's light through me. God saved my soul not to hide his light, but to share it with whoever I come in contact with and that's what I strive to do!"
